Project Description
This is the first in a series of 10 videos designed to help overseas nurses train for practice in the UK. The video course was structured around the aims of the NMC Objective Structured Clinical Examination, or OSCE. The videos cover a simulation of a patient’s journey from assessment through to evaluation, and more specific clinical skills such as wound dressing and injections. We scripted the videos in consultation with a small number of trainers, then filmed best practice examples of the patient scenarios and skills tests at an NHS evaluation centre with trainee nurses. The videos were presented in a style consistent with the Health Education England brand. The course has now been viewed thousands of times by trainee nurses new to UK nursing practice.
